Pat Riley was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers for more than five seasons and he was on the team that set the NBA record for 33 consecutive victories. However, Riley will forever be known for his coaching career with the Lakers and the famous “Showtime” era.
Riley became the Lakers’ head coach in the 1981-82 season and ended up winning four titles with the franchise. The duo of Riley and Magic Johnson proved to be a formidable one and those two were a perfect match for each other.
Riley is currently the President of the Miami Heat and he is responsible for putting together the “Big Three.”
