With the Lakers getting ready for their first official practice this Sunday, and holding their official media day on Saturday, general manager Mitch Kupchak took some time out to talk to the media before the Lakers season got underway.
Kupchak addressed a number of different topics during his time with the media. When speaking on Kobe Bryant he said that he expects Bryant to still be the one taking the last shot when the game is on the line. He also spoke on Steve Nash saying that he has been scrimmaging at 100 percent for weeks now, and he hopes to reduce his minutes this season.
Kupchak also poked a little fun at Shaquille O’Neal’s ownership stake in the Sacramento Kings, and referred to this season’s Lakers as underdogs which is undoubtedly an unfamiliar role for the premier franchise in the NBA.
