The Los Angeles Lakers have waived forward Elias Harris, the Lakers announced today, which brings the total count on the roster down to 14.
The Lakers signed Harris over the off-season, and the rookie out of Gonzaga appeared in just two games. It was not expected that Harris would get minutes off the bench for the Lakers and his stint in Los Angeles has finally come to an end.
Harris is an athletic and explosive forward and it won’t be surprising if he ends up with another team. The Lakers are already quite deep in the bench and with Kobe Bryant expected to return soon, there was no room to add in minutes for Harris.
