Lakers News: Isaiah Thomas Asks For His After Cavaliers Wearing Matching Thom Browne Suits

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Isaiah Thomas from the Cleveland Cavaliers at this year’s trade deadline, hoping to get a spark. But Thomas was never quite himself this season while still dealing with ongoing hip issues.

He failed to fit in with Cleveland, which led to the trade that sent Thomas to his childhood favorite team. Unfortunately for Thomas, being dealt to the Lakers meant going from a playoff team to having to watch them from home.

He was doing that on Friday night when the Cavaliers faced the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of their first-round series. All of the Cavaliers players came to the game in tailored Thom Browne suits paid for by LeBron James.

While still in Cleveland, Thomas was apparently fitted for the same suit, and he wondered where his is, via SportsCenter:

Obviously there is some joking going on as Thomas isn’t actually mad that he didn’t get his suit, but it is pretty hilarious that he was fitted while with the team. It’s probably say that he won’t ever be getting that suit now.

For the time being, the focus for Thomas is on recovering from hip surgery and his upcoming free agency this summer. Thomas has shown interest in remaining with the Lakers and L.A. is also apparently interested in keeping him depending on what happens with the big names in free agency.

James and Paul George are obviously the big prizes, but no one knows what will happen with them.

Thomas had some ups and downs in his short time with the Lakers this season. He played in just 17 games before shutting it down because of his hip, but averaged 15.6 points and five assists primarily as the Lakers sixth man off the bench.
