Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Makes NBA History In Portland

The Lakers got a huge road win against the Portland Trail Blazers in their pursuit of obtaining the 8-seed out west. Coming into tonight’s matchup, the Lakers had only won four of their last 21 games at the Rose Garden, so it was assumed this game would not be a cake-walk despite the Blazer playing without three starters.

So with playoff hopes essentially on the line the, Kobe Bryant took it upon himself to lead and will his team to victory by putting on his best performance of the 2012-2013 season: 47 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and four blocks, becoming the first player in league history to accomplish such a feat.


The Black Mamba never fails to surprise fans with the many amazing things he’s been able to do on the basketball court and tonight was just another example of that.

It’s a beauty to see what Kobe Bryant has done this season as a 17-year veteran. Nights like this are often taken for granted because this is what we’ve become accustomed to seeing from Kobe on a nightly basis. As he continues to will this team to key victories, sit back and appreciate him for how great he is, because he wont be playing much longer.
