It has been a busy offseason for Kobe Bryant. He has been rehabbing his Achilles to make the quickest comeback possible and most recently, trying to figure out the best pitch possible to bring free agent center Dwight Howard back to Los Angeles. But sometimes we can take a step back from basketball and look at Kobe Bryant the athlete just to see how much he is really worth.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Kobe Bryant has the highest net worth in the NBA.

His estimated net worth is at $220 million, which ranks highest in the NBA. The closest player in terms of worth in  the NBA is not who you all think it is. Kevin Garnett ranks second behind Kobe with an estimated worth of $190 million. Garnett was drafted in 1995, one year before Kobe entered the league in 1996.

How does Kobe drive his worth this high? Kobe has huge endorsement deals with Nike, Coca-Cola, Turkish Airlines, Mercedes-Benz, Lenovo, Panini and Hublot to name a few, which as you can do the math, those endorsements definitely add up.

LeBron James ranks third behind Garnett at $130 million, the only player drafted this century too make the top five. He was drafted in 2003.

Bryant will be the NBA’s highest-paid player next season, at $30.5 million. Although he has hinted at retirement over the past year, Kobe has come out and said he has reconsidered and will be playing not only next year but two or three more years after in pursuit of his sixth NBA championship.
