Lakers News: Metta World Peace Out Vs. Nets Due To Suspension

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without Metta World Peace for tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclay’s Center as a result of a one-game suspension handed out by the NBA according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports via Twitter:

This is World Peace’s first suspension since being suspended by the league for seven games for elbowing James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder towards the end of last season.

The supposed punch by World Peace on Brandon Knight was reviewed by the league over the last few days. Knight claimed World Peace had punched him during the game and apparently the league has agreed and will hold out the veteran forward against the Nets.
