D-FendersAfter the Lakers’ victory over the Hornets in New Orleans on Wednesday night, the team reportedly assigned Robert Sacre and Darius Morris to the D-League’s D-Fenders. Both players have played with the D-Fenders before, but since being back with the Lakers haven’t logged serious minutes.

According to Real GM, Morris and Sacre will be back in the D-League for at least a limited time, but will most likely be back with the Lakers sooner rather than later.

The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned Darius Morris and Robert Sacre to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers’ NBA Development League affiliate.

Sacre got more minutes on Wednesday (4) than his monthly average (3), whereas Morris hasn’t played since five minutes during garbage time last Thursday against the Timberwolves.

Whether this is a sign of the team looking to sign a free agent player or not, the exposure in the Developmental League should be beneficial to both players.
