Lakers News: Steve Nash Says Meeting With Dwight Was Productive

The Dwight Howard free agency meetings have now come to an end, and now we have to wait and see what Dwight decides. After Dwight met with the Dallas Mavericks pitch team Tuesday at 10 a.m., he took a short break before entering the much awaited meeting with the Lakers pitch team which included GM Mitch Kupchack, head coach Mike D’Antoni, Jim Buss, point guard Steve Nash, and face of the franchise Kobe Bryant.

According to Ramona Shelbourne, Steve Nash said the meeting was very productive.

Last year the Lakers were a much improved team after the All-Star break finishing the season 28-12 and showing mass improvements as the season came to an end. Certainly the Lakers used that in their pitch to show him that this system and this personnel can make one last push.

There is no guarantee on what Dwight is thinking at the moment. On the bright side, the mood around Los Angeles over the past couple of days has turned from severe doubt that Dwight will return to a more optimistic thought given with how the reports with other teams have gone only “well” and Dwight has spent a lot of time working out at UCLA.
