The USC Trojans will face the Boston College Eagles this Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. During halftime, the USC Trojan Band will pay tribute to Trojan alumni and former owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dr. Jerry Buss.

Dr. Buss earned his M.S. and Ph.D in Physical Chemistry at USC, and even some of his children attended the university as well. The Trojan football season had finished at the time of his death, so this will the first time the Trojan football team and marching band will honor the great Dr. Buss.

The halftime show is expected to start around 1:30 p.m. PST. The tribute will include most of Dr. Jerry Buss’ favorite songs that were played during Laker games and at USC. The Laker girls will also be a part of the tribute, and the marching band will align to spell out Dr. Buss’ last name on the entire field.

The USC Trojan football team definitely needs something to play for after losing to the Washington State Cougars last week at the Coliseum. Boston College should be an easy win for the Trojans, and the best way to honor Dr. Buss is to end the tribute with a win for the Trojans.
