For the past two seasons, there have been constant rumors and speculation regarding Kevin Love. While the Cleveland Cavaliers are this year’s favorites to win the championship, Love can become an unrestricted free agent. According to Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding, the Lakers hope to sign a superstar such as Love in free agency:

The Lakers will spend this summer. They hope they can spend on a new superstar such as Kevin Love.

With a 1.7 percent chance in last year’s lottery, the Cavaliers won and selected Andrew Wiggins where they eventually traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Love. While the Cavaliers are the second seed in the Eastern Conference, Love has struggled and only averaged 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds.

While there will continue to be conflicting reports until free agency officially begins, Love’s name has been attached with the Lakers. With the franchise hoping to sign him, the latest rumor has Love and Russell Westbrook looking to team up together in Los Angeles with the Lakers.
