The Los Angeles Lakers are only two games into the 2014-15 NBA season, but injuries have already started to run rampant. Two players that were expected to be considerable contributors have been ruled out for the rest of the season with Steve Nash unable to shake back problems and rookie Julius Randle going down with a broken leg in the season opener.

With Nash and Randle done for the year and Nick Young still recovering from thumb surgery, the Lakers brass will explore options to help fill the void left by Nash, Randle and Young. One option appears to be the recently waived Quincy Miller, according to Shams Charania of Real GM:

Earlier this week, the Denver Nuggets parted ways with the former Baylor standout after two seasons with the team. Miller only played in 59 games over the course of the last two seasons in Denver averaging 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in 15.2 minutes per contest last year.

With the Lakers in desperate need of some help at the small forward position, Miller could have an opportunity to come in and shoulder the load at the three spot behind starter Wesley Johnson. Miller is by no means a game-changer for Los Angeles, but an option the team could explore with so many players currently on the shelf.
