Lakers Sign D-League Center Chris Daniels

The Lakers have announced the signing of Chris Daniels, a 7-0, 265 pound center who graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christie in 2008.

Daniels most recently played in the NBA Developmental League for the Erie BayHawks. He was drafted with the ninth overall pick in the 2011 D-League draft.

Daniels was the 2007 Southland Conference Player of the Year as a junior. After graduating in 2008, Daniels traveled overseas and has played in Korea for each of the past three seasons (2008-11).

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
