The Los Angeles Lakers scored a season-high 127 points (and had a season-high 62 rebounds) in their 27-point win over the Miami Heat on Friday night. Luol Deng had his most complete game as a Laker with 19 points (8-12) and 14 rebounds, his fifth double-double of the season. Deng explained after the game why it’s been a slower process for him to find his rhythm on a young team this season.
Head coach Luke Walton discusses the altercation between Jordan Clarkson and Goran Dragic, as well as the standing ovation Metta World Peace was getting in the final minute of the game. With the option for the Lakers to waive Peace’s contract on Saturday, Walton comments as to what he hopes the front office does with the 37-year-old forward.
Plus, rookie Brandon Ingram tied his career-high with 17 points on 6-9 shooting. Walton says it’s clear how much more comfortable Ingram is becoming navigating the paint.
