As the Los Angeles Lakers open the 2015-16 season against the Minnesota Timberwolves, for possibly Kobe Bryant’s 20th and last season with the team, the speculation will continue.
Entering his third season as the Lakers assistant coach, Mark Madsen hopes that Bryant will make this season worthwhile and hopefully make a run for a playoff spot via SiriusXM NBA Radio on Twitter:

The Lakers these past few seasons have not been good as the team finished with a 21-61 overall record this past season, the worst in franchise history. Hoping to bounce back, the Lakers are in the early stages of the rebuild, but have a nice young core.
With Kobe Bryant likely shifting to small forward, it will allow head coach Byron Scott to start D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson in the backcourt. Although a playoff run would be quite the accomplishment, the Lakers face a difficult battle in the extremely competitive Western Conference.[divide]
