Mavericks’ Brian Cardinal Takes Twitter Shot At Kobe Following Game 5

After the Lakers lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night and were eliminated from the post-season, questions immediately began to arise about the future of the club. Kobe Bryant, who scored 42 points in the game, was criticized for not getting his teammates involved. In fact, Bryant took 33 shots and didn’t have a single assist.

Following the game, Dallas Mavericks’ reserve Brian Cardinal took a bit of a shot at Bryant from his Twitter account.

Bryant’s always been criticized for not passing the ball enough, but usually you don’t see it coming from other players. Still, that’s one of the wonderful things about Twitter and social media, it gives the fans insight to what others around the league are thinking.

Cardinal tried to clarify his comments Tuesday morning after the initial backlash to his first tweet, claiming (albeit jokingly, I’m sure) that he was discussing Bynum’s statistics, not Bryant’s.
