NBA News: Former Laker Antawn Jamison Signs With Clippers

Antawn Jamison’s time with the Lakers only lasted one year, but his time in Los Angeles will be longer now that he has signed with the Clippers.

According to Brad Turner of the LA Times, Jamison will be in Los Angeles for at least one more year.

Jamison was good role player off the bench last season for the Lakers, averaging 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. While he is a defensive liability, his unorthodox way of scoring provided a nice boost for the Lakers last season.

Jamison’s deal with the Clippers will be for one year at the veteran’s minimum, $1.4 million.

The Clippers already have an improved roster from last season, but the addition of Jamison will only provide more depth, especially if they encounter any injuries.

Jamison was a class act during his time with the Lakers, but at age 37, he is looking to play for a contender for the opportunity at an NBA title.
