NBA Releases Full Pre-Season Schedule With 8 International Games

On Thursday, the NBA released its full preseason schedule which includes 116 games from October 5 through October 25. In the slate of 116 games, there will be eight games played overseas to expand the NBA’s goal of making basketball a global game. Of those eight games, the Lakers will play in two of them against the Golden State Warriors.

On October 15, the Lakers and Warriors will play at the MasterCard Center in Beijing and will play at the Mercedes-Benz arena on October 18. Both games will be televised on NBATV.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Turkish basketball club Fenebahce Ulker in the first international game of the pre-season on October 5. They’ll also play in England to play the 76ers on Oct. 8. However, before that, the 76ers will have a game in Spain against Bilbao Basket at Bizkaia Arena on Oct. 6.

The Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers will play two games in the Philippines on Oct. 10 and Oct. 13 while the Bulls and Wizards will play a game in Brazil on Oct. 12.

The rest of the Lakers pre-season schedule will include games in Ontario, Anaheim and Las Vegas and will feature three games against the Warriors, on against the Kings and two against the Jazz.

The Lakers will wrap up their pre-season campaign in the Honda Center against Utah before opening up the season on Oct. 29 against the Clippers.
