NBA Rumors: Phil Jackson Could Be “Face” Of Seattle Franchise

Well, it appears as though the Sacramento Kings are moving to Seattle, and will likely take the form of the Super Sonics next season.

Additionally, according to Peter Vecsey via Twitter, none other than legendary head coach Phil Jackson will have an important role with the team:

While it appears as though Phil Jackson has no interest in coaching after being virtually snubbed and toyed with by Lakers’ management in November, this actually makes sense for the Zen master.

Jackson has shown only partial interest in coaching in the league again, but has hinted at returning to the NBA in a consultant type of position. Having control over a franchise with new ownership in a basketball-loving city could be just the perfect opportunity for Jackson to do that.
