After faltering in the first two chances to close out this series, the Los Angeles Lakers finally eliminated the Denver Nuggets in seven games, 96-87. Pau Gasol responded to only scoring three points in game six in resounding fashion by posting 23 points and 17 rebounds. The X-factor of the game was Steve Blake, who shot the three-pointer extremely well for the Lakers, finishing with 19 points. The Lakers now advance to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round.
