The Los Angeles Lakers nabbed their first win of the preseason on Sunday night at Staples Center against the Maccabi Haifa, 126-83. Kobe Bryant led the way with 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting in his 18 minutes and Roy Hibbert corralled an impressive 16 rebounds to go along with his five assists and eight points.

Though Lakers head coach Byron Scott was not happy with the team’s 22 turnovers, he was pleased with the defensive effort, outrebounding Maccabi Haifa, 61-26. D’Angelo Russell returned to game action, since bruising his glute in the Lakers second preseason game against the Utah Jazz, finishing with 11 assists to go along with his five points. Prior to Russell being cleared for game action on Sunday, Scott had already decided to start Anthony Brown and said he was impressed with what the Stanford graduate was able to show, especially on the defensive end.
