Sources: Lamar Odom Agrees to Deal with Besiktas

According to Marc Stein of ESPN it appears that Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom has agreed to a deal to play in Turkey with club team Besiktas. Stein’s sources reportedly have told him that Odom will team up with fellow NBA star Deron Williams with Besiktas during the NBA lockout.

While final details of the contract have not been released yet, rumor has it that Odom is set to join the Turkish team as soon as next week if the NBA lockout is not yet resolved.

After signing Deron Williams last summer, the Istanbul-based club has had discussions with other NBA stars to try and convince them to head to Turkey to play during the lockout. Many Lakers fans may recognize the name after they spent the large portion of a month trying to convince Kobe Bryant to join their squad.

Since the team was unable to land Bryant it appears they set their sights on another talented NBA star, Kevin Love. After Love turned down the club last week they went after Odom, who is apparently ready to play ball overseas.

Confirmation of the agreement between Odom and Besiktas is expected later today.
