The NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers began Thursday night with an overtime thriller. After LeBron James missed the potential game winner at the end of regulation, the Cavaliers couldn’t find their footing in the extra session. The Warriors came away with the early 1-0 series lead.
It was a thrilling victory for Golden State fans. However, some people in Los Angeles seem to believe their team were the ones in the championship round. Jimmy Kimmel Live! continued their Lie Witness News segment by asking people their thoughts on the Los Angeles Clippers making the NBA Finals:
The Clippers were eliminated in the second round despite holding a 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets. Their collapse caught the attention of many Los Angeles Laker fans and former Laker greats, including Magic Johnson. Both the Clippers and Lakers currently face important off-seasons. The Clippers have had recent success, but now look to continue it. The Lakers have struggled, but have some optimism moving forward with their No. 2 pick and plenty of cap space.[divide]
