The NBA Draft is only a few days away with LSU’s Ben Simmons expected to be drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the number one overall pick. Last year, Karl-Anthony Towns was the top selection in the draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves followed by D’Angelo Russell, who was the surprising choice of the Los Angeles Lakers at number two.

On Tuesday, a Foot Locker commercial starring Nike athletes Simmons, Towns, Russell, and the Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker surfaced with the projected number one overall pick asking for advice from three of the league’s top rookies from last season.

Towns, the NBA’s Rookie of the Year, was the first to chime with advice claiming it is a “grown man’s league” with Booker agreeing by saying it “nothing is easy anymore” now that they’re on the NBA level. Then the attention turned to Russell with Simmons asking whether there is anything else he should know. D’Angelo asks for Simmons’ phone and tosses it out of the window and simply says, “Trust me.”

This is the first time the Lakers star has made fun of himself for his role in the Nick Young incident earlier this year, and it is hilarious! Well played, Russell.
