The Los Angeles Lakers faced the New York Knicks on Sunday, coached by former Laker Derek Fisher. Prior to tip-off, Fisher welcomed questions about Kobe Bryant and the Lakers from the LA media.
Fisher comments on Kobe Bryant’s injury and what he expects from him next season, admitting how unfortunate it was to see Bryant get injured on such a routine play. Fisher also explains what it was about his relationship with Kobe Bryant that worked so well on the court.
Whenever the common denominator is winning, then all the stuff in the middle is just BS basically. Even though we didn’t always agree we could always look in each other’s eye and know winning was the most important.”
Plus, Fisher talks about what it’s like to be surrounded by former Lakers in New York and how the Lakers and Knicks are in similar situations. It’s all in our video above.[divide]
