VIDEO: Dwight Howard Loses Free Throw Contest to TJ Simers’ Daughter

Dwight Howard did an extensive interview with TJ Simers of the Los Angeles Times recently, and talked about everything from where he will play next season (he didn’t say) to what life has been like with Mike D’Antoni (he said, but wasn’t exactly enthralled). Now, a video has surfaced (h/t CBS Sports) showing Howard losing a free throw shooting contest to Simers’ daughter, Kelly.

Howard, a notoriously bad free throw shooter (57% for his career), did take his shots left handed and still made 3-9. The problem for Dwight is that Kelly made 5-10 and was declared the winner.

In Dwight’s defense, he was a very good sport about the entire affair, and in typical Dwight fashion had a smile on his face for the duration of the competition.

Ultimately this means about as much as a bag of candy beans, but it’s summer and anything Dwight does will be news until he makes a final decision as to where he’ll be playing basketball for the next few seasons.
