VIDEO: James Worthy Celebrates After Lakers Defeat The Raptors

Wins have been hard to come by this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, and that makes every win they do get that much sweeter. Very few people have been harder on the Lakers than James Worthy, but tonight Worthy was able to bask in victory on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.

Worthy was at his best immediately following the Lakers 129-122 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors tonight, doing laps around the studio screaming ‘YES!’ Once he sat down, he proclaimed the Lakers ‘played like champions tonight.’

The win was a good ending to what had been a disappointing homestand up to this point. The Lakers lost the first three games, all by single digits in close games, before pulling out tonight’s game.

With their win, the Lakers improved to 3-0 against the Eastern Conference this year, and that will be put to the test as the Lakers hit the road for three games against the East this week. Hopefully the team will continue to allow Big Game James to continue his celebrations.
