The Los Angeles Lakers held their first NBA Summer League practice on Monday morning, featuring the team’s No. 2 draft pick D’Angelo Russell, who impressed his teammates after just one day of practice with his court vision and passing ability. Julius Randle, turned heads with his power and strength and already had Russell talking about how he plans to game plan for him.
Jordan Clarkson was consistently knocking down three-pointers and says after building up muscle over the summer, he plans to add the three-point shot as a consistent part of his game. In addition, Larry Nance Jr. and Anthony Brown looked comfortable, grouped with Clarkson, Randle and Russell for offensive drills.
Nance said Day 1 of practice was a welcome to the NBA moment and Randle said he definitely felt better prepared this year than he did last year. Check out a glimpse into the first Lakers Summer League practice in our video above.[divide]
