The NBA released their list of the 50 greatest players in NBA history back in 1996. However, since then there have been numerous Hall of Fame players that deserve to be on the list. Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett have all played since the league’s original list, and they deserve to be on the updated list of superstars.

Our update featured five parts, each that contained ten players. Many of the original 50 are still on the list, but there are a handful of players that have made such an impact on the league in the last 15 years that we felt they needed to be on the list.

Part I (50-41): NBA stars James Worthy, Gail Goodrich and Reggie Miller headline the first ten players on the list of 50.

Part II (40-31): Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash are new additions, joining old-school superstars like George Mikan.

Part III (30-21): John Stockton and Allen Iverson make up the point guards in a list that also includes Scottie Pippen and David Robinson.

Part IV (20-11): Two great guards from the 1960s and the player they called ‘the Doctor.’

Part V (10-1): The top ten greatest players in NBA history include multiple Lakers and a guy named Mike.

There are several players that were left off the list to make room for the new additions. For the complete list of the NBA’s original 50 greatest players check here.
