First Quarter

The Lakers began the game strong and took an early 12-4 lead. Danny Green helped the Spurs get back by hitting two threes in a row. Following a timeout, Laker baskets continued to fall behind a pair of Jodie Meeks triples. The defense held the Spurs scoreless for nearly three minutes. Nick Young continued his hot shooting and scored seven points of the bench to help the Lakers end the quarter with a ten point lead, 33-23.

Second Quarter

Jordan Farmar began the quarter with two turnovers. After the Spurs brought the game within five, the Lakers stretch the lead back to ten. Looks in the paint were rare as the Lakers mainly settled for long twos and three point shots. With the shots not going in anymore, the Spurs came back to trail 42-39 forcing a Laker timeout. A Manu Ginobili layup gave the Spurs the lead with three minutes left. Both teams entered the half tied 51-51.

Third Quarter

Three quick baskets by the Lakers helped the Lakers jump out to a 57-51 lead. Jordan Hill helped the Lakers stay in front by scoring five straight points including converting on a foul shot. The Lakers took advantage of the Spurs’ sloppy play and scored in transition to stay ahead. The Spurs failed to cut into the Lakers lead despite strong outside shooting. The quarter ended with the Lakers up 86-75.

Fourth Quarter

The Lakers stretched their lead to 15 before Corey Joseph connected on two straight layups for the Spurs. Robert Sacre and Wesley Johnson kept the Laker lead in double digits. Joseph continued to score and try to bring the Spurs back into the game. An Austin Daye three cut brought the Spurs within nine. The Lakers held on and never let the Spurs come any closer. The game and season came to an end with the Lakers winning, 113-100.
