Most Hated NBA Teams

With 16 championship banners hanging in the rafters at the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Lakers are bound to have their fair share of haters. Even though the Lakers franchise has a huge fan base that spans around the world, Los Angeles is home to one of the most hated teams in the NBA.

According to a poll conducted on Reddit via Bleacher Report, the Lakers are the second-most hated team in the league behind the Miami Heat:

The Los Angeles Lakers came in a close second to Miami after being voted the most hated team in 21 states. Even California voted the Lakers its most hated team, with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Heat following closely behind.

The Miami Heat turning out to be the most-hated team in the league isn’t all that surprising with LeBron James and company playing the villain role the past four years. The Lakers being second-most hated behind the Heat also isn’t going to shock anyone, but the team being voted the most hated in California is a bit shocking.
