With media day quickly approaching, many of the Los Angeles Lakers players have made their way back to the court where many anticipate a very demanding training camp from their new head coach, Byron Scott.

On Friday, Jeremy Lin posted a video of himself working on his defense, footwork and explosiveness on his personal Instagram account:

This offseason I have been working really hard on my defense, footwork, and explosiveness. A huge component that I needed to work on is my core stability (having good posture, being able to stay low in my defensive stance, and being able to stay balanced while absorbing contact). Only 19 days left till training camp…can’t wait to get back on the court! #LakersNation #PurpleandGold

Heading into training camp, Scott has revealed his starting lineup which does not include Lin at the point guard position. However, that could quickly change if Steve Nash struggles with injuries for the second consecutive season.

After failing to land Carmelo Anthony this summer, the Lakers moved on to Plan B where they first acquired Lin and a first round pick from the Houston Rockets. With a fresh start back home, Lin hopes to have a larger role with the Lakers while learning from two of the greatest of all-time in Kobe Bryant and Nash.
