The Los Angeles Lakers lost their fourth straight game on Friday night against a team considered to be one of the worst in the Western Conference. Flip Saunders’ Minnesota Timberwolves had only won three games before heading to the Staples Center, but left Los Angeles with a one-point win over Byron Scott’s squad.

After the Lakers suffered their 13th loss of the season, Scott wasn’t happy and expressed his frustration with the team in his postgame press conference.

On Saturday, Scott continued to vent by dubbing his team the worst in the West, via Baxter Holmes of ESPN:

With only three wins in 16 games, it was only a matter of time before Scott’s frustration would surface. Scott has been remarkably patient up to this point dealing with a team that is sorely lacking in talent, but now it appears that he’s getting tired of repeating himself in terms of what the team needs to correct.

Even though the Lakers have put together a few solid performances this season, the team has struggled to play consistently well on the defensive end of the floor. The Lakers are giving up a league-worst 111.4 points per game this season and have shown no signs of turning things around.

Coach Scott has emphasized improvement on the defensive end ever since his introductory press conference back in July. Obviously, Scott preaching defense has fallen on deaf ears with the Lakers being arguably the worst defensive team in the league.
