Kobe Bryant Unhappy At Practice, Calls Lakers ‘Soft Like Charmin’

With the Los Angeles Lakers having an awful start to the season, frustrations are bound to begin boiling over. Even after Tuesday’s victory over the Sacramento Kings, the Lakers still sit at 6-16, well below what they expect.

Kobe Bryant is one of the most demanding people in NBA history and he voiced his displeasure with the team after practice calling them soft according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times:

While walking off the court, Kobe had some more choice words for his team, this time speaking to Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak via Bresnahan:

In practice, there is always a lot of trash talking and sometimes things can get out of hand as emotions boil over. Kobe’s team won the scrimmage and it seemed to be handily according to some scores that were tweeted out, so it is possible that Kobe was expecting more of a fight from the second unit.

One thing about Kobe Bryant is that he expects to get 100 percent effort from his teammates at all times and if he feels he isn’t getting that, he won’t be happy. The Lakers aren’t the most talented team in the league. so they need maximum effort just to hang with most teams, especially in the West.

If Kobe does indeed retire after the 2016 season, he intends to make sure that the fight and heart is still with the Lakers once he is gone. This is his way of doing so.
