A future that will be highly shaped by Tuesday’s NBA Draft Lottery. With the Lakers finishing with the league’s fourth worst record, there is an 11.9 percent change the team lands the first overall pick. In addition, the Lakers will need their draft pick to fall within the first five selections. Otherwise, the Philadelphia 76ers receives it as the Lakers will be left without an early pick in June’s draft.

Being able to keep their pick will go a long way for the Lakers and their rebuilding efforts. The team is hopeful the returns of Kobe Bryant and Julius Randle help bring the team more wins. Jordan Clarkson will also be a key piece after being named to the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team Monday.
