Pau Gasol Selected To 2011 Western Conference All-Star Team

The NBA All-Star reserves were announced tonight, and Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol was voted into the Western Conference team by the league’s coaches.

It is Gasol’s fourth All-Star selection, and his second as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. This year’s all-star weekend will take place in Los Angeles, Calif. and the Staples Center crowd will surely be happy to see the Spaniard play in the Sunday game.

Pau Gasol has been an important player for the Lakers in the first half of the season, as he has filled the void for several injuries that plagued the team.

He is having one of the best seasons of his career, and the Lakers would not be the second seed if it weren’t for the efforts of Pau Gasol.
