Jeanie Buss: Lakers, Buss Family ‘devoted’ To Helping Lamar Odom

After battling for his life, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom appears as though he’ll pull through. Odom gave everyone quite a scare last week convincing many that he wasn’t going to make it, but has defied the odds so far and is currently recovering while also reconciling with his wife, Khloe Kardashian.

Along with receiving prayers and support from seemingly everyone he ever left an impact on throughout his life, Lakers president Jeanie Buss let it be known the organization is “devoted” to helping him bounce back. Buss made an appearance on the Open Run podcast and said the following about Odom’s rehab process:

“We’re, and when I say we’re, it’s the Laker organization, my family, we’re devoted to helping him and however we can as he comes through this, because he is a former Laker, he is a champion with the Lakers and we all love him. To see everybody rally around him was very touching. A lot of people love him and are pulling for him.”

Although there’s a long way to go for Odom to fully recover, he has no shortage of support from those that love him. Buss is one of many that have publicly expressed their support and are willing to help the 35-year-old throughout the process of getting healthy.

With so many friends and family members showing their support, and the divorce with Kardashian being called off, Odom has the ideal opportunity to get his life back on track once healthy. It may take some time, but there’s no question the former Laker has been given a second chance.
