Jerry West Joins Golden State Warriors Front Office

Longtime Laker player and executive, Jerry West, has joined the Golden State Warriors front office. The Warriors announced the move Friday, stating that West will take on an advisory role as a member of the executive board.

West is best known for his playing days with the Lakers where he became the face of the franchise and the NBA. West was ultimately chosen to be the logo of the NBA.

The Warriors selected West after his extensive success in Los Angeles and with the Memphis Grizzlies. Golden State is also looking for a new head coach after they declined to renew Keith Smart’s option.
