Kobe Bryant Still Considering Playing Overseas

With the lockout anything but resolved more and more players are considering playing overseas while the NBA work stoppage continues. One player who has discussed it but hasn’t made a definitive decision is Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

Bryant, who spent much of the summer in China and other parts of Asia, stated he is still mulling his options and hasn’t decided on what he’s going to do.

There were rumors earlier this summer that Bryant could sign with the Turkish team Besiktas. This is the same team that has already reached an agreement with New Jersey Nets guard Deron Williams. There has also been interest from multiple Chinese teams according to sources.

Whether or not Bryant plays overseas during the lockout is still up in the air, but with the season slated to begin late next month the longer the league goes without solving the problem the greater chance more and more players begin to play in Europe and Asia.

When asked by the Associated Press on Saturday whether or not Bryant will play overseas he replied simply, “I could.”
