Los Angeles D-Fenders Announce 2011 NBA D-League Draft Selections & Camp Invitees

The Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers D-League affiliate, has announced their draft selections and training camp invitees. With the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft, the Los Angeles D-Fenders selected eight-year NBA veteran Jamaal Tinsley, formerly of the Indiana Pacers.

The D-Fenders selected eight players in the draft, one pick for each round. With their other seven picks the D-Fenders selected Anthony Gurley from Massachusetts in the second round (31st overall), Eniel Polynice from Seton Hall in the third round (32nd overall), Brandon Rozzell from Virginia Commonwealth in the fourth round (63rd overall), Courtney Fortson from Arkansas in the fifth round (64th overall), Franklin Session from Cal State Los Angeles in the sixth round (95th overall), Robert Diggs from George Washington in the seventh round (96th overall) and Troy Payne from Santa Clara in the eighth round (127th overall).

Also announced as part of the D-Fenders new roster was an additional eight players from local tryouts or who are joining the team from the Utah Flash. The complete D-Fenders roster is listed below.
