Players Finalize Vote to Authorize Reforming of NBPA

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports the NBA players have completed the vote that will ratify the new CBA and reform the NBPA.

“At 3 p.m. ET today, union had 289 votes authorizing it to reform. Needed 260. Press release was recalled bc final tally wasn’t in yet. This vote authorizes union to complete new CBA with league.”

The players and owners must still must ratify the deal, which is expected to be completed next week. Once this procedure is finalized the league will officially be open for business and the lockout will become a thing of the past.
