Mike Brown Hints at Reserve Role for Metta World Peace

The Lakers off-season continues to raise more questions than answers as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Now it’s being reported that there may be a change in the Los Angeles starting lineup.

For the last two seasons the Lakers have utilized the same starting lineup as long as everyone was healthy. That lineup may be drastically different this season, especially if the team makes a trade before opening day.

However, even without a significant trade it seems that new head coach Mike Brown might be looking to shake things up.

According to Kevin Ding of the O.C. Register, Brown may be looking to move the newly-christened Metta World Peace to the bench.

As Ding mentions, this would mean moving Matt Barnes into the starting lineup. Barnes, 31, played in only 53 games last season in his first season with the Lakers due to injuries.
