Lakers News: Arenas Underwent Same Knee Procedure as Kobe

The Los Angeles Lakers were rumored to being interested in Gilbert Arenas, but he is still a risk as injuries have drastically lowered his level of effectiveness. Just like many players, Arenas has dealt with knee problems which have impeded his ability to perform on the court.

Lakers star Kobe Bryant had to deal with knee issues in the past several years, but it seems as though the pain has disappeared thanks to a procedure he underwent in Germany.

We have now learned that Arenas also went through the treatment in Germany and hopes it can work the same wonders on him, Kurt Helin of ProBasketballTalk.com writes.

Nick Young, former teammate of Arenas, told a reporter about the procedure. “Yea, he’s [Arenas] been working out. He said he got the — I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this — but he got that Kobe treatment on his knees.”

This is surely a good sign for the Lakers and other teams interested in Arenas. Although it will be tough for him to return to his former form, it is safe to say that his knees should no longer be a major problem.
