Lakers News: Nick Young Expresses Sense of Urgency After Loss

Nick Young 11 17 13The Los Angeles Lakers are going through a tough stretch and have only won one game since Kobe Bryant’s return. The Lakers had a chance to grab a much needed road win over the Hawks on Monday night, but a horrid third quarter put the team in a big hole.

Nick Young did have a productive night, but the rest of his teammates could not follow suit. Young put in 23 points with five three-pointers, but the team still fell short 114-100. After the game, Young spoke to the media and it was clear that he considers the Lakers’ next match in Memphis is a must-win.

At this point, the Lakers stand at 11-13 and will have to get their act together as soon as possible. The Western Conference is very competitive and if a team falls behind in the standings, it will be very hard to make up ground.

The Lakers will travel to Memphis Tuesday night for their second meeting with the Grizzlies on the season. Los Angeles lost in November by a narrow margin, 89-86, but it will hope to seek revenge in the FedEx Forum.
