This Friday, ESPN The Magazine will release a special three-cover edition Music Issue that features the biggest sports stars and music artists. One of the covers will feature Kobe Bryant and Nicki Minaj and both spoke about their respective careers.

Although he is still dealing with a knee injury, Bryant told the magazine that it’s difficult to have success year in and year out:

“I don’t care what profession you’re in. It’s hard to have elite success year after year, over and over.”

While many have suggested that Bryant sit out the rest of the season, the five-time champion is determined to return regardless of the team’s record. Although he is still unable to run, Bryant is riding a bike to keep himself in shape.
