Lakers Christmas Poem: A Very Lakers Christmas Wish

Lakers Warriors BasketballAll I want for Christmas is a Lakers win over the Knicks,

Maybe a couple of threes and dunks from Kobe’s old bag of tricks.

A lob pass from Pau, or a bounce pass from Nash,

It’s all good, as long as it ends with a Dwight Howard bash.

A few threes from Meeks, and some D from Metta World Peace,

Just play hard, and give Lakers Nation a win, please.

Pau doesn’t need a triple-dip, but it’d be nice to see him ballin’,

And refs, please, calm it down with all the foul callin’,

D’Antoni, I love your offense when Nash starts to dribble ‘r pass

But there’s still nothing better than a sound byte from Bickerstaff,

Allow no 4o-point quarters, so Spike Lee can’t sing like a choir,

I’d rather see a happy Denzel, not the one from “Man on Fire.”

You don’t have to stop Tyson from dunkin’ or Melo from scorin’,

Just don’t make an All-Star out of Pablo Prigioni.

At the end of the day, I just want to see some Los Angeles cheer,

To all of Lakers Nation, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
