Andrew Bynum, Dwight Howard Putting Up Similar Statistics

The Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard comparisons aren’t going to die anytime soon. Whether it’s a trade rumor or which center is having the better season, both players have had tremendous starts to the 2012 season.

While Howard is usually the unanimous choice as the best center in the game, Bynum is making quite an impact himself.

Below is a small chart that compares Howard’s stats to Bynum’s. The numbers are very similar, with the only major difference being the amount of games played. Now, Howard has managed to sustain slightly better numbers over a longer period of time. Obviously due to his suspension Bynum missed the first four games of the season. Still, Bynum is matching Howard for the most part while still playing five less minutes per game.

If Bynum is able to still able to match Howard on all these key statistics as the season progresses, look for him to be making his first All-Star appearance in Orlando this spring.

Here’s a look at the stats. Howard’s line is on top.
