Andrew Goudelock, the 2011 NBA Draft pick for the Lakers, spent the last two years in and out of the Lakers’ lineup and in the D-League. The Lakers did not present Goudelock with a qualifying offer earlier this offseason, making him a free agent. Now, Goudelock will be taking his talents overseas to play for BC UNICS in Russia.

BC UNICS tweeted the addition of Goudelock earlier today (h/t Real GM):

Unics signed a one year deal with Andrew Goudelock (24 yo, 191cm). Last season he played in @Lakers and @rgvvipers, NBA @nbadleague MVP 2013

Goudelock played just one regular season game with the Lakers in the 2012-13 season after being called up from the D-League due to the season-ending Achilles injury to Kobe Bryant. However, during their first round series against the San Antonio Spurs, Goudelock’s role and minutes were increased with other backcourt injuries, and he even was in the starting lineup for Game 4. During the Lakers’ 2013 postseason, he averaged 12.0 points in 26.7 minutes on 44.4 percent shooting.

Goudelock made an impressive impact in the D-League last season with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, which resulted in being named D-League MVP. With the Vipers, he played and started in 37 games, averaging 21.4 points, 5.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 36.7 minutes per game, while leading the team in scoring 16 times.

Lakers Nation would like to wish the “Mini Mamba” the best of luck in Russia!
