After receiving the Rookie of the Year award, Wiggins took over the Timberwolves Twitter account where fans asked him numerous questions. One of the questions was about Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant where Wiggins called him a ‘living legend’:

Throughout the season, Kobe and Wiggins have been very complimentary of each other. Even at age 36, Wiggins considered Kobe the toughest player he had to guard this past season. In response, the five-time champion sees a reflection of himself in the 19-year-old.

After three consecutive season-ending injuries, Kobe looks to finish what will likely be the final season of his career on a high note. With Lakers president Jeanie Buss calling next season a ‘celebration’ for the five-time champion, the organization looks to rebuild themselves into championship contenders in what may be the most important off-season in nearly a decade.
