After two consecutive seasons near the bottom of the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers and its fans are hoping for a major turnaround this season. After failing to get their major free agency targets however, many wonder if the Lakers won’t just continue their re-build and hope to make a major impact next off-season.

What will Brandon Bass make this season? Find out here!

New Lakers forward Brandon Bass doesn’t believe the Lakers are rebuilding, however, and told Sirius XM NBA Radio that the team is trying to win by any means necessary:

By adding veterans such as Bass, Roy Hibbert, and Lou Williams, the Lakers clearly aren’t just going with a youth movement this season. Whether or not that will be enough to climb the ranks in the deep Western Conference remains to be seen.

If the Lakers are going to make a run this season, it will likely be because of the improvements that the young players make. D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, and Jordan Clarkson could all be part of the Lakers starting lineup on opening night, though Russell has been given no guarantees and Bass will challenge Randle for the starting power forward spot.

The Lakers are going to continue to do everything they can to bring the team back to the top of the NBA. Their moves so far haven’t been enough to get them to the top, but the team is undoubtedly committed to getting there.
